Trailmower With Angled Bumper Rollers

View page
US Patent:
59669128, Oct 19, 1999
Filed:
Jul 24, 1997
Appl. No.:
8/899617
Inventors:
Max B. Swisher - Warrensburg MO
Clyde J. Fleener - Centerview MO
Assignee:
Swisher Mower & Machine Co., Inc. - Warrensburg MO
International Classification:
A01D 3400
US Classification:
56 1
Abstract:
A self contained trailmower includes a respective angled bumper housing positioned on each front corner of the mower deck in a position such that the angled housing on the outside of the mower deck is the first part of the deck to hit an obstacle in the path of the mower. Each of the bumper housings holds a plurality of bumper rollers with the rollers being placed in a line along the outer edge of each bumper housing and protruding outward past the bumper housing such that the rollers are the first portion of the mower to encounter the obstacle. The rollers thus urge the mower deck outward away from the obstacle and serve to cushion the impact between mower deck and obstacle. The mower also incorporates a convenient height adjustment feature.

Lawn Maintenance Apparatus With Multi-Attachment, Multi-Adjustable

View page
US Patent:
62569708, Jul 10, 2001
Filed:
Jul 24, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/360853
Inventors:
Clyde J. Fleener - Centerview MO
Assignee:
Swisher Mower & Machine Co., Inc. - Warrensburg MO
International Classification:
A01D 3400
US Classification:
56 127
Abstract:
A mobile lawn maintenance apparatus includes an implement mounting assembly for mounting an implement relative to the apparatus base which permits rotation of the implement about a horizontal axis and pivoting the implement about a vertical axis. An implement drive shaft, to which various implements may be interchangeably secured, is rotatably mounted in a bearing assembly which is secured to a distal end of the implement mounting assembly. The implement drive shaft is driven by a drive belt connected between an implement drive pulley on the implement drive shaft and a drive pulley mounted on a drive shaft of an engine mounted on the frame of the apparatus. The implement mounting assembly telescopes and is spring biased to urge to implement drive pulley away from the engine drive pulley to maintain constant tension on the drive belt during rotation of the implement attached to the implement mounting assembly.

Motorized Golf Bag Cart

View page
US Patent:
62832387, Sep 4, 2001
Filed:
Jan 27, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/237818
Inventors:
Larry G. Royer - Decatur IL
C. Calvin Hansen - Manhattan KS
James Cotton - Gresham OR
Clyde J. Fleener - Centerview MO
International Classification:
B62D 5104
B62D 6100
US Classification:
180 191
Abstract:
A motorized golf bag cart includes a base frame which extends and retracts telescopically to respectively expand or collapse a battery mounting area. A drive motor supported in the base frame is linked to a drive axle which selectively drives a pair of drive wheel hubs positioned on respective opposite sides of the base frame. The base frame also includes a pair of transversely extending hollow tube which receive respective first and second telescoping support axles such that they are movable between an extended, operative position and a retracted, compact storage position. An articulating handle is designed to be compactly folded. The inventive golf bag cart is thus quickly and easily changeable between an extremely compact storage and transport configuration and a very stable, four wheeled, operative position.
