Abstract:
A label for displaying information regarding an article and suspending the article from a support includes a base label having an upper surface and a lower surface and a base adhesive disposed on the lower surface for affixing the label to the article. A hanger defining an opening has at least one end thereof connected to the base label. The hanger is foldable about the at least one end between a stored position wherein the hanger lies adjacent the upper surface of the base label and a hanging position wherein the hanger is folded away from the base label for receiving the support through the opening. A carrier portion forms a part of the hanger. A base portion underlies the carrier portion. The base portion is separable from the base label and is secured to at least a portion of the carrier portion by a carrier portion adhesive.

Abstract:
A label product including a release liner having an upper surface and a booklet disposed on the upper surface of the release liner. The booklet includes an outer piece including a top panel and a bottom panel joined by an outer fold, an inner piece disposed between the top and bottom panels having a pair of interior panels joined by an inner fold, attaching means coupling the outer and inner pieces to one another at the outer and inner folds, and a tear line formed in the bottom panel adjacent the outer fold. A layer of adhesive is interposed between the bottom panel and the upper surface of the release liner.

Abstract:
A method for forming a unitary assembly of a plurality of unitary, multi-panel, folded leaflets. Opposed end edges of the leaflets are positioned adjacent one another. A first continuous adhesive coating is applied, preferably by spraying, onto first end edges of the leaflets and portions of the leaflets adjacent the first end edges and a second continuous adhesive coating is applied, also preferably by spraying, onto second end edges and adjacent portions of the leaflets. In a method for forming a plurality of the assemblies of leaflets, a divider bar is inserted between selected leaflets prior to application of the adhesive coatings such that at least two leaflets are disposed on either side of the bar. Upon removal of the divider bar, portions of the adhesive coatings are removed from between the selected leaflets. Also disclosed are an assembly of booklets and a method for forming the same.

Abstract:
Labels for displaying information and particularly well suited for automated application to containers having curved outer surfaces, and methods for forming the labels. The labels each include a multipanel leaflet, a laminate cover and adhesive for securing the label to the container. In certain embodiments, a leaflet adhesive patch is disposed on a lower surface of the leaflet and a laminate adhesive underlies a portion of the laminate cover extending beyond the leaflet. An adhesive-free gap is defined between the leaflet and laminate adhesives. In a further embodiment, first and second leaflet adhesive patches are disposed on lower surfaces of the leaflet. An adhesive-free gap is defined between the first and second leaflet adhesive patches. In each embodiment, the respective adhesive-free gap facilitates proper application of the label to the curved container surface.

A label includes a bottom panel and a top panel overlying the bottom panel. A tear line is formed in the top panel. A hole is formed in at least one of the top and bottom panels. An exposed adhesive is disposed in the hole. The label may be opened by tearing along the tear line and the label may be resealed using the exposed adhesive.
