Premigration Deghosting Of Seismic Data With A Bootstrap Technique

View page
US Patent:
20130282292, Oct 24, 2013
Filed:
Mar 18, 2013
Appl. No.:
13/845819
Inventors:
- Massy Cedex, FR
Can PENG - Houston TX, US
International Classification:
G01V 1/36
US Classification:
702 17
Abstract:
Methods and systems for optimized receiver-based ghost filter generation are described. The optimized ghost filter self-determines its parameters based on an iterative calculation of recorded data transformed from a time-space domain to a Tau-P domain. An initial ghost filter prediction is made based on generating mirror data from the recorded data and using a least squares technique during a premigration stage.

Methods For Fabricating Large Area Nanoimprint Molds

View page
US Patent:
8192669, Jun 5, 2012
Filed:
May 27, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/473115
Inventors:
Stephen Y. Chou - Princeton NJ, US
Can Peng - Houston TX, US
Wendi Li - Princeton NJ, US
Shufeng Bai - Foster City CA, US
International Classification:
B28B 11/08
B29C 59/00
US Classification:
264293, 977887
Abstract:
This invention relates to the fabrication of large area nanoimprint molds having complex patterns with minimal or no use of direct-writing, such as electron beam lithography, ion, laser beam, or mechanical beam lithography. This can be accomplished by forming a pattern of simple nanoscale features and converting the simple features into more complex nanoscale features by a process comprising shadow deposition. The process may also include steps of uniform deposition, etching and smoothing depending on the shape of the complex features.

Processing Seismic Data Acquired Using Moving Non-Impulsive Sources

View page
US Patent:
20170371055, Dec 28, 2017
Filed:
Dec 18, 2015
Appl. No.:
15/535159
Inventors:
- Massy Cedex, FR
Can PENG - Fulshear TX, US
International Classification:
G01V 1/37
G01V 1/36
Abstract:
Methods for processing seismic data acquired with non-impulsive moving sources are provided. Some methods remove cross-talk noise from the seismic data using emitted signal data and an underground formation's response estimate, which may be iteratively enhanced. Some methods perform resampling before a spatial or a spatio-temporal inversion. Some methods compensate for source's motion during the inversion, and/or are usable for multiple independently moving sources.

Device And Method For Deghosting Seismic Data Using Sparse Tau-P Inversion

View page
US Patent:
20160327670, Nov 10, 2016
Filed:
Jan 8, 2015
Appl. No.:
15/109840
Inventors:
- Massy, FR
Suryadeep RAY - Houston TX, US
Hongzheng JIN - Katy TX, US
Can PENG - Fulshear TX, US
Assignee:
CGG SERVICES SA - Massy Cedex
International Classification:
G01V 1/36
G01V 1/32
G01V 1/38
Abstract:
Computing device, computer instructions and method for improving accuracy of an image of a surveyed subsurface. The method includes a step of receiving seismic data (D) recorded with seismic sensors; a step of deghosting the seismic data (D) using a sparseinversion algorithm together with a low-rank optimization scheme and a high-cut filter to calculate ghost-free wave-fields (U(t,x,y)) in the time-space domain; and a step of processing the ghost-free wave-fields (U(t,x,y)) to generate the image of the surveyed subsurface.

Devices And Methods For Attenuation Of Turn Noise In Seismic Data Acquisition

View page
US Patent:
20160320508, Nov 3, 2016
Filed:
Jan 12, 2015
Appl. No.:
15/105783
Inventors:
- Massy, FR
Can PENG - Fulshear TX, US
International Classification:
G01V 1/36
G01V 1/38
G01V 1/32
Abstract:
Computing device, computer instructions and method for de-noising seismic data recorded with seismic receivers. The method includes transforming the seismic data into a Tau-P domain to generate transformed seismic data traces. The transformed seismic data traces are scaled using a semblance value to generate scaled seismic data traces. A scaled seismic data trace having a maximum energy; is selected and removed from the seismic data to generate de-noised seismic data.
