Abstract:
A weight adapter bracket is provided for a drawbar support frame having a cylinder coupling member for coupling to a hydraulic cylinder. The coupling member has a slot for removably receiving an end of the cylinder. The adapter bracket includes a lug which extends from a flange. The lug is removably receivable by the coupling member, and the flange is adapted to engage and support a weight. A coupling bore extends through the lug and bracket bores extend through the coupling member. A coupling pin is insertable through the coupling bore and the bracket bores and to releasably hold the bracket in the coupling member. A pin bore extends vertically through the bracket, and a further coupling pin is removably insertable through the pin bore. The further coupling pin is adapted to engage a weight which is mounted on the bracket.

US Classification:
172 7, 2804461, 2804061
Abstract:
A draft sensing mechanism includes a draft frame adapted to be attached to a frame of a vehicle. The draft frame has left and right supports adapted to be coupled to corresponding left and right draft links. A draft strap has a left end fixed to a front side of the left support and a right end fixed to a front side of the right support. The draft strap is deflectable in response to draft forces applied to the left and right supports. A draft sensor is attached to the draft strap. The sensor generates a draft signal in response to deflection of the draft strap.

Inventors:
- Moline IL, US
Brian E. Biles - Waterloo IA, US
Benjamin J. Heimbuch - Waterloo IA, US
International Classification:
B62D 55/30
B62D 55/065
Abstract:
A work machine may include an electric motor, an idler wheel, a drivable track engaged with the idler wheel, and an actuator that is electrically powered by the electric motor and configured to move the idler wheel to adjust the tension in the drivable track based on the torque output of the electric motor. The work machine also includes a controller configured to automatically control the electrical current input to the electric motor based on one or more monitored control factors associated with the work machine.

Inventors:
- Moline IL, US
Nathanael K. Rehn - Waterloo IA, US
Jeffrey Tott - Waterloo IA, US
Jeremy P. L'Heureux - Waterloo IA, US
Daniel J. Garvin - Waterloo IA, US
Benjamin J. Heimbuch - Waterloo IA, US
International Classification:
B62D 55/30
B62D 55/12
Abstract:
A work machine may include an idler wheel, a drivable track engaged with the idler wheel, and an actuator configured to move the idler wheel to adjust the tension in the drivable track. A controller may actively instruct the actuator to adjust the tension in the drivable track based on the pressure in the actuator and variables associated with the drivable track and the work machine.

Implement Hitch With Variable Vertical Load

View page
US Patent:
20210204463, Jul 8, 2021
Filed:
Jan 7, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/736035
Inventors:
- Moline IL, US
Benjamin J. Heimbuch - Cedar Falls IA, US
Lee R. Rients - Parkersburg IA, US
Kendall L. Giesmann - Waverly IA, US
Assignee:
Deere & Company - Moline IL
International Classification:
A01B 59/042
A01B 63/14
Abstract:
One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for adjusting the downward vertical force applied to the vehicle frame. In this way, an operator can adjust or distribute a vertical downward force that an attached implement applies to the frame of a vehicle towing the implement. A front end of a vertical load member can be pivotably coupled to the vehicle frame at a point in front of the rear axle of the vehicle, and a rear end of the vertical load member can be coupled to a hitch attachment assembly, coupled with a towed implement, at a rear end of the vertical load member. An actuator can be pivotably coupled with the vertical load member rearward of the vehicle axle, and to the vehicle frame. The vertical load member can be raised and lowered using the actuator, which raises and lowers the hitch assembly at the rear, and pivots the vertical load member at the front.

US Patent:
20210204464, Jul 8, 2021
Filed:
Jan 7, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/736038
Inventors:
- Moline IL, US
Benjamin J. Heimbuch - Cedar Falls IA, US
Assignee:
Deere & Company - Moline IL
International Classification:
A01B 59/042
A01B 63/14
B60G 17/0195
Abstract:
One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for proving operation of a vehicle towing an implement. A hitch assembly can be used to adjust or distribute a vertical downward force that an attached implement applies to the frame of a vehicle towing the implement. A sensor assembly can identify the torque that is being applied to the front and rear axles. The torque data can be used to generate adjustments to the vertical load actuator, which can to adjust an amount of load applied to the front and/or rear axles. In this way, vertical load may be efficiently distributed between the front and rear axles automatically.
