Distinguished in the performance of outstanding service to the Royal Netherlands Air Force while assigned to the 89th Flying Training Squadron, 80th Flying Training Wing, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. Superb leadership and instruction were integral to the success of the European North Atlantic Treaty Organization Joint Jet Pilot Training Program. As Assistant Operations Officer, helped supervise over 235 international students and instructor pilots to attain 100 percent on-time completion rate while conducting 28,000 sorties. As a T-37 Instructor Pilot and Progress Check Pilot, supervised daily training and made critical decisions with respect to over 100 students' potential follow-on training. Performance was curcial to the squadron's "Excellent" rating during the 2002 headquarters Air Education and Training Command unit Compliance Inspection, receipt of the prestigious Air Force Outstanding Unit Award for July 2001 and June 2003, and the 80th Flying Training Wing Top Squadron Award for 2002. During the 2004 Headquarters Air Education and Training Command Operational Readiness Inspection, the inspectors commended the innovative help guides and benchmarked them for use throughout the command.
