Philosophy:
Mission Statement: With almost a half-century of professional experience in science (pharmacy, medicine, neuroscience, psychiatry and preventive medicine) and the arts (publishing, theatrical, TV and film production, and an Actors Studio approach to personal growth), I understand the value of deep and broad life experience and the importance of a serious commitment to honest, respectful attention to the needs of patients. My credo is treat others as I would want to be treated and do my utmost to assist in the process of healing and personal growth and development of each individual with whom I am privileged to work.
My approach: Enhancement of the ability to recognize and choose satisfying, stable, healthy patterns of thinking, behavior, and feelings through natural, gentle, self-controlled changes in brain function. When appropriate. low-dose medications may assist brain growth as one examines unwanted thoughts, feelings and behaviors in an honest, therapeutic relationship.
