I am self educated, joined the US Army when I was 17 years old and educated myself in the library of the headquarters building where i convinced the Sargent Major to make me the Commanding Officer's personal driver. After 3 years I was honorably discharged and went right into the work place as a factory worker for handbag manufacturer. I was promoted six times in six years and left to become a sales representstive for the new women's division at Levi Strauss & Co. I became Salesmasn of the Year my first year there, then become the first District Sales Manager in new York, got promoted again an moved to Atlanta, Ga..to start up and staf a new Region. As Regional Sales Manager in Atlanta i hired, trained and motivated my sales force to acheive the largest % increase in sales and the following year beat every region in the company for the most sales volume and got promoted to national Sales Manager and moved to san Franciso. After spending two years in my new position and putting a new women's division on the map I was recruited to become President of Calvin Klein Jeans in the 80's and had the longest tenure in that position (10 years) in the company's history. in the 90's I started my own company and created my own jeans label which was geared for the cutting edge Junior customer and had a good run, got burnt out, retired for a short spell and re-invented myself and went into the real estate business where i have been for the past 13 years and I love it!!!
