Abstract:
A three-dimensional printing photocurable composition includes from 20 wt % to 70 wt % of an urethane acrylate component, from 20 wt % to 60 wt % of a multifunctional epoxide component, from 1 wt % to 15 wt % of a monomer component, and from 1 wt % to 8 wt % of a photoinitiator component, based on the total weight of the composition. The urethane acrylate component includes the capping reaction product of an acrylate and an isocyanate terminated prepolymer and the isocyanate-terminated prepolymer is the reaction product of a polyisocyanate and at least one polyol having a molecular weight of at least 3000 g/mol. The multifunctional epoxide component includes one or more multifunctional epoxides. The monomer component includes at least one of a multifunctional acrylate monomer and a multifunctional vinyl ether monomer.

US Patent:
20160168416, Jun 16, 2016
Filed:
Sep 4, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/897744
Inventors:
- Midland MI, US
Marcus Pfarherr - Baltringen, DE
Eva-Maria Michalski - Rheinmuenster, DE
Kamesh R. Vyakaranam - Missouri City TX, US
William H. Heath - Lake Jackson TX, US

Adam C. Colson - Lake Jackson TX, US
International Classification:
C09D 163/00
E04C 2/24
E04B 5/02
E04C 2/26
Abstract:
A flooring coating composition includes a coating agent that is a reaction product of an epoxy based formulation, the epoxy based formulation being at least one of an epoxy prepolymer formulation, an epoxy-silane hybrid formulation, and an epoxy thiol acrylate formulation. The coating agent in a cured state exhibits a first tan delta peak between a first temperature range of 75 C to 0 C and a second tan delta peak between a second temperature range of 20 C and 75 C, according to a tan delta plot over a range of temperatures. A value of the first tan delta peak and a value of the second tan delta peak each represents a ratio of a loss modulus of the coating agent and a storage modulus of the coating agent at a specific temperature within the range of temperatures, as measured according to dynamic mechanical thermal analysis. The values of the first and the second tan delta peaks are from 0.10 to 0.80.

Abstract:
Elastomers are prepared from a reaction mixture that contains a polyene compound, an epoxy resin, a thiol curing agent and a basic catalyst. The polyene compound has an average of at least two groups containing aliphatic carbon-carbon double bonds capable of reaction with a thiol group. At least one of said aliphatic carbon-carbon double bonds is separated from each other said aliphatic carbon-carbon double bond by an aliphatic spacer group having a weight of at least 500 atomic mass units. These elastomers are typically phase-separated materials having good elongation and tensile properties.
