The present invention provides a new and improved shoe drying apparatus that can dry washed and/or unwashed shoes in a short period of time by circulating ozone-containing air in the airtight interior of the apparatus and also deodorize and sanitize shoes by removing odor and bacteria from the shoes. The shoe drying apparatus comprises a housing having a front door, a first porous plate installed in the bottom interior of the housing, a sanitizing-deodorizing assembly for generating ozone-containing air (“mixed air”), a second porous plate installed in the top interior of the housing, a ventilating fan for dispersing the mixed air into the central interior of the housing, an intake fan for bringing back air present in the upper space of the second plate to the sanitizing-deodorizing assembly, a plurality of hollow main conduits extending vertically from the second plate to the first plate, a plurality of hollow auxiliary conduits extending horizontally from each main conduit, and a shoe-holding member on which a shoe is fixed for drying.

In a method and system for controllable electrostatic-directed deposition of nanoparticles from the gas phase on a substrate patterned to have p-n junction(s), a bias electrical field is reversely applied to the p-n junction, so that uni-polarly charged nanoparticles are laterally confined on the substrate by a balance of electrostatic, van der Waals and image forces and are deposited on a respective p-doped or n-doped regions of the p-n junction when the applied electric field reaches a predetermined strength. The novel controllable deposition of nanoparticles employs commonly used substrate architectures for the patterning of an electric field attracting or repelling nanoparticles to the substrates and offers the opportunity to create a variety of sophisticated electric field patterns which may be used to direct particles with greater precision.

Present invention is an improved version of Shoe Drying Apparatus (ref: U.S. Pat. No. 6,845,569) which was applied by Soo Kil Kim on Jan. 25, 2005. Present invention sterilizes, deodorizes and dries all types of shoes including leather shoes and gym shoes by using mixed air circulation and special solution, sodium hydrogen carbonate solution (NaHCO3) (referred here in after as “Solution”), which includes alkali, carbonated water and enzyme in a short period of time. There are main control devices located on the top, such as electric circuit breaker, ventilating fan, electric heater, ultraviolet rays generator, ozone generator, anion generator, silver nano generator and lights. The bottom of the invention consists of many rooms, and separated doors are attached to each room. There are shoe hangers in each room. The invention jets the Solution into the shoes to soak out dirt and stain absorbed into the shoes. Mixed air which includes ozone, nano, anion and ultraviolet rays comes out shortly and dries the shoes.

A proton exchange membrane fuel cell includes an anode catalyst layer, a cathode catalyst layer, a proton exchange membrane separating the anode catalyst layer from the cathode catalyst layer, an oxygen inlet configured to supply oxygen to the cathode catalyst layer, and a hydrogen inlet separate from the oxygen inlet and configured to supply hydrogen to the anode catalyst layer. The fuel cell is operable to convert the hydrogen from the hydrogen inlet to hydrogen ions at the anode catalyst layer and to produce an H2O byproduct at the cathode catalyst layer where the oxygen reacts with the hydrogen ions. The fuel cell includes a water outlet for the H2O byproduct that is separate from the oxygen inlet.
