Methods For Plasma Depositing Polymers Comprising Cyclic Siloxanes And Related Compositions And Articles

View page
US Patent:
20220388032, Dec 8, 2022
Filed:
Feb 24, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/679906
Inventors:
- Cambridge MA, US
Scott W. Morrison - Cambridge MA, US
R. Austin Nowak - Cambridge MA, US
International Classification:
B05D 1/00
C23C 16/50
Abstract:
Methods for plasma depositing polymers comprising cyclic siloxanes and related articles and compositions are generally provided. In some embodiments, the methods comprise flowing a precursor gas in proximity to a substrate within a PECVD reactor, wherein the precursor gas comprises an initiator and at least one monomer comprising a cyclic siloxane and at least two vinyl groups, and depositing a polymer formed from the at least one monomer on the substrate.

Store Checkout Verification System

View page
US Patent:
20210090056, Mar 25, 2021
Filed:
Dec 8, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/115221
Inventors:
- Geneva, CH
Paul SCORZA - Quincy MA, US
Jason BREAZEALE - Simpsonville SC, US
Hank SHEEHAN - Syracuse NY, US
Michael KARNS - Exeter RI, US
Scott MORRISON - Mansfield MA, US
International Classification:
G06Q 20/20
Abstract:
A store checkout verification system is disclosed, including at least one remote server, an integrated autonomous checkout system, at least one checkout verification system including a visual indicator, and at least one beacon. The at least one checkout verification system includes a hand-held tallying device including a scanner, memory, and a hand-held tallying device program encoded in the memory of the hand-held tallying device for recording a tally of items scanned with the scanner. The payment module includes a payment module program configured to receive a price corresponding to the tally and direct an electronic payment from an account associated with a user to a merchant in response to an instruction provided by the user. The checkout verification system activates the visual when the payment module has confirmed the electronic payment and the hand-held tallying device is within the predetermined distance of the at least one beacon.

The hand-held tallying device is in communication with at least one remote server. The identity authentication module includes an identity authentication module program configured to verify an identity of a user as a first authentication factor. The payment module includes a payment module program configured to receive a price corresponding to the tally and direct an electronic payment from an account associated with the user to a seller in response to an instruction provided by the user. The payment module includes a second authentication factor different from the first authentication factor.

Operating An Inductive Energy Transfer System

View page
US Patent:
20190157898, May 23, 2019
Filed:
Jan 28, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/260061
Inventors:
- Cupertino CA, US
Scott D. Morrison - Watertown MA, US
Jeffrey M. Alves - Pleasanton CA, US
Brandon R. Garbus - Santa Clara CA, US
Jim C. Hwang - Danville CA, US
Robert S. Parnell - San Jose CA, US
Terry L. Tikalsky - Sunnyvale CA, US
International Classification:
H02J 7/02
H02J 50/80
H02J 5/00
H02J 50/10
Abstract:
A receiver device in an inductive energy transfer system can include a touch sensing device. If the input surface of the touch sensing device is touched, a transmitter device can periodically stop transferring energy to allow the touch sensing device to sense touch samples while inductive energy transfer is inactive. Additionally or alternatively, a transmitter device can produce an averaged duty cycle by transferring energy to the receiver device for one or more periods at a first duty cycle step and for one or more periods at different second first duty cycle step. Additionally or alternatively, a transmitter device can reduce a current level received by a DC-to-AC converter if the current received by the DC-to-AC converter equals or exceeds a threshold. Additionally or alternatively, a transmitter device can ping a receiver device and transfer energy only after a response signal is received from the receiver device.
