Skills Machine/ Tool Experience: I have proficient skills Working on a variety of projects, using hand-welding and also flame-cutting equipment to cut or weld metal components or pipes. Also involved in performing routine servicing and repairs on specialist welding equipment. Constructing and repairing various metal parts by welding them together. Welding components in flat, vertical also overhead positions. Accurately examining and measuring work pieces for defects etc. Cutting large metal objects into pieces to be discarded. Measuring work pieces with straightedges to ensure correct specifications. Preheating pipes and work pieces, using hand torch. Notifying managers of any defective or faulty equipment or material. Removing rough spots or loose metal from work pieces. Fusing metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc, and flux-cored arc. Equipment used: Metal Band Saw, Iron Worker, Sheet Metal Shear, Porta Band, Drill Press, Plasma Cutter, Carbon Arc. Whole punch, all pnuematic tools, and of course Grinding equipment. KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Safety conscious & able to ensure a safe working environment to work in. Able to work at heights on scaffolds etc. Able to work from technical drawings. Limited Recent references available on request, due to long break in work history, but im very determined, drivin, and ready to re-enter the work force
