Joseph Franz von Jacquin " Joseph Franz Freiherr von Jacquin " or Baron " Joseph von Jacquin " ( February 7, 1766, Schemnitz ( now Banská Štiavnica ) – October 26, 1839, Vienna ) was an Austrian Empire scientist who studied medicine, chemistry zoology and botany
Between 1788 and 1791 Jacquin was sent on a scientific journey to Germany, France and England by Emperor Frances II.
