A method of signaling vehicle operation by using lamp assemblies on the left and right outside rear view mirror housings, to show Running, Clearance , Braking and Hazard conditions and change of steering direction. The lamp assemblies are mounted on a molded neoprene base which is also formed to provide a tubular bumper for physical protection of the lenses and to give an alarm signal. The lamps , each consist of four light emitting diodes (L.E.D.'s) in keyed plug in assemblies, are located on the rear and on the underside rearwards of the mirror housings. In the preferred form of the invention, the change in steering direction is indicated by switches mounted on the steering column and actuated by on operator on the steering wheel. The control of the indicating lamps is by solid state integrated circuitry located in a central box. The running-clearance lamp is located at the rear of each housing and lit when the vehicle ignition is on. Four directional lamps, located on the underside of each housing are controlled by the steering direction switch, the near lamp lights as the steering wheel is turned a few degrees from the straight ahead position and remains on until returned, indicating a possible lane change. Further turning lights the second followed by the third and the fourth in a timed sequence, then switches off. This repeats until reset by a vehicle turn signal in the opposite direction or over-ridden by a braking or a hazard condition or return to the straight ahead position. A braking signal will cause the lights on each mirror housing to stay on steady and a hazard condition will cause all lights to flash.

The engine efficiency device comprises a source of petroleum distillates and a pump which feeds the petroleum distillates from the source and into the inducted air flow to the engine continuously during the operation of the engine. In the preferred form of the invention, the petroleum distillate is an aliphatic petroleum naptha-mineral spirit produced by the process of alkylation.

A signal varying over a wide dynamic range from a source (10) is input to a summing amplifier (12) along with the output of an adjustable reference generator (14). An error signal output of the summing amplifier (12), a subtraction of the output of the reference generator (14) from the input signal source (10), is applied to a rate network consisting of a capacitor (16) and a resistor (18), with the latter in a feedback loop for an amplifier (20). The output of the reference generator (14) is adjusted to maintain the error signal within the operating limits of the summing amplifier (12) by monitoring the output of the amplifier. During the time interval when the adjustment of the generator (14) is made, a compensating network (24) maintains the output of the amplifier (20) at the level previous to the adjustment interval. This provides a continuous output voltage at a terminal (22) that varies over an expanded range with reference to the input signal.

A method of regulating the engine compartment temperature by opening shutters and operating blower(s) and radiator cooling fan to provide air flow through the compartment to maintain a minimum temperature. The enclosed engine compartment provides for rapid heat up of engine and the crankcase, supplies heated inducted air into the engine and aerodynamically shapes the forward of the engine enclosure. A sloped shroud at the front of the engine compartment also enhances the cooling efficiency of the radiator.

Remote on-demand site link testing is provided. A site link tester (SLT) system includes an SLT connected to a customer's VoIP phone system. The SLT is configured to communicate with a front end client application operating remotely on a user's computing device. The packet-capture application receives instructions from the client application to perform a packet capture in association with the SLT's network interface and/or to operate as an emulated VoIP endpoint and conduct a test call (e.g., to confirm the customer's VoIP system's compliance with 911-associated legislation or to troubleshoot a VoIP issue). Results of the packet capture may be sent to the client application and analyzed for remotely diagnosing and troubleshooting VoIP-related problems. Using the SLT system, the technician is enabled to perform 911-associated legislation compliance and diagnose VoIP issues on-demand from a remote location, which can reduce or eliminate the need for a technician to be on-site.
