About:
Do I know a thing or two about moving? YES!!! For many years, as the wife of a GE Manager who was transferred several times, I prepared for moves to Alabama, South Carolina, Midwest Ohio, North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. Even though every move was a positive career move, I experienced the same emotions and the same demands that moving requires of everyone. My empathy for clients is real and I try to provide personal experience "helpful hints" in the sale or purchase of clients' homes. For the last few years my family has enjoyed the history and quaintness of living in North Georgia. Ours is the typical American family story; I married my high school sweetheart, Steve, well over thirty years ago, and together raised two sons. As recent empty nesters, my husband and I enjoy gardening, woodworking, golf for Steve and visiting our sons and daughters in love (law). Of course, reading on the beach is another favorite past time. I was born in the foothills of Eastern Tennessee in the small town of Etowah. I continued my education at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA where I studied Business Management. As a native of East TN, I am, of course, an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan and memorabilia collector. However, since moving to North Georgia, I have developed an admiration for the great Georgia and Georgia Tech sports teams as well! Especially since my oldest son is a graduate of Georgia Tech. I have worked for many years as an Executive Secretary to principals and a past Assistant Superintendent of Schools. I made a career adjustment when I accepted a position as office manager of a Realty company. This position piqued my interest in becoming a licensed agent. I was handling sales and listing contracts for other agents, which laid good ground work for my own real estate career. I feel my strengths are being detailed, organized, a good problem solver and enjoy all kinds of people. A sense of community is also important to me no matter where I live. When you're ready to make your real estate move; MAKE YOUR MOVE with Debbie Patterson. I am an agent who values your feelings and appreciates the goals you are trying to achieve.
