Light For A Basketball System

View page
US Patent:
20070225092, Sep 27, 2007
Filed:
Jan 22, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/625664
Inventors:
Neil Watson - Layton UT, US
Gary Phillips - Clearfield UT, US
David Winter - Layton UT, US
Wendell Peery - Kaysville UT, US
Sharon Jones - Clearfield UT, US
Brent Steed - Syracuse UT, US
Danny Green - Layton UT, US
Robert Astle - Farmington UT, US
S. Nye - Clinton UT, US
International Classification:
A63B 63/08
US Classification:
473481000
Abstract:
A lighting system for a basketball system may be movable between a first position in which the lighting system is disposed behind the backboard and a second position in which the lighting system is disposed in front of the backboard to allow maintenance to be performed on the lighting system. When the lighting system is in the second position, the lights are preferably disposed at least proximate the rim. Advantageously, the lighting system may be pivotally connected to the support pole of the basketball system by at least some of the same structure that connects the basketball goal to the support pole. In addition, if the height of the basketball goal is adjustable, that may allow the height of the lights to be adjusted when the lighting system is in the second position.

US Patent:
20130005514, Jan 3, 2013
Filed:
Jun 26, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/533714

LIFETIME PRODUCTS, INC. - Clearfield UT
International Classification:
A63B 63/08
US Classification:
473484, 473483
Abstract:
In one example, a basketball system includes a backboard to which a goal is configured to be attached, a support structure, a connecting structure configured to connect the backboard to the support structure, a lockable height adjustment mechanism operably disposed with respect to the backboard, and a means for absorbing shock. When the height adjustment mechanism is locked, the means for absorbing shock enables temporary displacement of the backboard in response to imposition of a load or force on the backboard if the imposed load or force exceeds a threshold load or force, respectively.

US Patent:
20150367213, Dec 24, 2015
Filed:
Jun 22, 2015
Appl. No.:
14/746583
Inventors:
